His sound is somewhere between Kristian Leontiou and Jamie Scott and is marketed as such, but the first comparison that came to my mind was to Placebo’s lead singer Brian Molko. I can really see him taking off in the album charts and getting a great deal of play on Radio 2, with the right promotion. He released (on October 18th, a week after the album came out on Oct 11th) and made a video for the first track, High so presumably that’s his big selling-point song and it does that job well.
The first word James Blunt sings on his album is “beautiful” and it is a very good description of the album as a whole.
